ドルトムントのボードルシュヴィング地区には、特別な水上城があります。その特別な点は、一つには、大きな堀に囲まれた建物の特別な静けさと美しさです。もう一つは、建物が私有地であるため、一般に公開されていない広大な公園を持つ敷地へのアクセスの悪さです。そのため、イン・ウント・クニプハウゼン家が城門を開き、イベントに招待してくれる貴重な機会はさらに価値のあるものとなります。それらの中には、体験マーケットや、毎年晩夏に開催される文化財公開デーなどがあります。後者では、城の内部の見学ツアーも提供されます。 敷地の中心は、睡蓮に覆われた水面の中央に位置する壮大な本館で、古い前庭とは石造りのアーチ橋でのみ繋がっています。今日でも、地下の歴史的なオーク材の杭の上に建っており、いくつかの入り組んだ建物部分と、様々な尖塔を持つ塔で構成されています。1300年にまで遡る最も古い部分は北側にあります。特徴的な小塔を持つ現在のルネサンス様式の建物は、16世紀半ばに建てられました。第二次世界大戦や、近くのヴェスハウゼン炭鉱による採掘の影響も、損傷なく乗り越えました。バロック様式の景観庭園は、19世紀末に造られました。隣接する森もその一部でしたが、近くの高速道路A45の建設により分断されました。庭園には古い木々、いくつかの池や噴水があり、本館のある水面を囲んでいます。 詳細はこちら: https://www.ruhrgebiet-industriekultur.de/schloss-bodelschwingh/

The mill was supposed to be demolished in 2002, but some committed citizens of Lünen wanted to save the historic building and founded the Mühlenfreunde Lippholthausen association. Today, the Schlossmühle is in its old glory and is used by the Lünen registry office as a wedding room - an offer that many happy bridal couples have taken advantage of.

Herten Castle is a moated castle on the western edge of downtown Herten in the Recklinghausen district. It lies in the middle of an old English landscape garden and was first mentioned in 1376.

Very nice moated castle. The NSG Bodelschwingher Wald is also very beautiful, but the A 45 goes straight through here, which is hardly noticeable after a few meters.

We spent a lunch break at the castle mill. It is right at the junction of the Lippeauen Lünen cycle path and offers plenty of seating and a beautiful watering hole. The mill can also be used for civil weddings. Very idyllic and very nice to switch off.

old half-timbered mill directly on Brunnenstrasse which is now used as a registry office The Schlossmühle Lippholthausen in the Lippholthausen district of Lünen is a grain mill built in 1760 near the Lippe. The watermill of the former Buddenburg noble house is a late Baroque half-timbered building, not far from the former Buddenburg Castle. The Mühlenfreunde Lippholthausen e.
