On the German side it is the Saarbach, from the French border the stream is called La Sauer.

I rarely recommend rest stop highlights, but this one is worth it!

Unfortunately, this section of the path along the Sauer is currently mostly NOT accessible due to the very high reeds: There is also a bench on this section that has completely disappeared into the reeds! - Anyone who still tries to fight their way through the meter-high reeds "blindly" has to be careful not to miss the riverside path and end up in the Sauer (as of September 13, 2024). - I have informed the "Dahner Felsenland" tourism agency accordingly. An alternative path (concrete) runs parallel to it.

The beautiful name stone with golden yellow writing is located several meters above and southeast of this spring. The meadow path to the spring is overgrown (only in summer?) (as of September 13, 2024). You can therefore only climb down directly from the hiking trail to the spring (very steep!). The Rossbach (--> Spießbach --> Sauer --> Rhein) springs from here.
