The Walberla (512 m) is considered the local mountain of the Franconians and the crowning peak in a landscape blessed by nature. Together with the Rodenstein (531 m), the Zeugenberg forms the so-called Ehrenbürg, which can be seen from far away. Along with the Staffelberg and the Kreuzberg (Rhön), the Walberla is also known as the Holy Mountain of the Franconians.

For climbers, the name Wailing Wall says it all. Anyone who tries to dig into the tiny holes here can quickly find themselves complaining. The rock is up to seven meters high and is part of the Signal Stone.

The Wallerwarte, a stone tower built in the 1930s, rises above Ebermannstadt. There is a great view of the Hetzleser Berg, the towns in the lower Wiesenttal and the Leinleitertal to Greifenstein Castle near Heiligenstadt.
