It's like being in another world. You can simply stroll through Williamsburg's historic old town without paying an entrance fee and meet costumed amateur actors who recreate the old days. It was a very pleasant and relaxing experience. You only have to pay an entrance fee if you want to enter the restored houses and get information about the property from the individual protagonists. A fair deal.

The cradle of modern America. Jamestown was the site of the first settlement by English immigrants in 1607. The museum provides all the information you need to know about it through images, text, audio, and video. Absolutely informative and worthwhile, and a true highlight.

What a great park. Today was our first visit, and we covered 5 miles of amazing trail and explored only a small portion. Walking, running, and biking trails abound. Well-maintained and beautiful. Beaches along the James River are plentiful.

Absolutely beautiful, it wasn't overcrowded or incredibly polluted. A very quiet place to visit if you want some time to yourself.

Old Mill Park is an open park along the Rappahannock River located on Caroline Street. Our most popular park, Old Mill features open fields, picnic shelters, a playground, restrooms and river front views. This park is situated along the Rappahannock River with a canoe/kayak boat launch.

Old Mill Pond is just off of Fenton Old Mill Road. Also known as Wabden Pond, this pond is a little hard to see through the trees, but it's a nice spot to slow down a little as you ride and look out for birds, turtles, and other animals crossing the road.
