A warm hello to everyone! For over 100 years, the Hohwacht & Lippe Fishing Association has represented the interests of local fishermen and their families. It is the professional and part-time representative of fishermen in Hohwacht and Lippe. In keeping with the association's original purpose, it serves the fishermen in its area and promotes camaraderie. Fishing as an economic factor has been declining for years. The fishing association therefore preserves traditions and memories of the times when fishing in Hohwacht was a central source of family income and social cohesion in the community. With events held around the fishing huts in Alt-Hohwacht, we remain committed to tradition, our members, guests, and the community. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and active participation in our events. We invite all our guests and friends of Hohwacht to support our cause by becoming a member of the association. Simply apply for your membership online here for an annual fee of €10.

The 370-square-meter sea platform is made of oak planks; the supporting steel structure is suspended from a pylon set at a depth of ten meters. With its blue paint finish, the steel tube is the platform's unmistakable central element: when viewed from above, it resembles the shape of the flatfish, the "flounder." The steel girders of the substructure, which extend fan-like into the Baltic Sea, are suspended from the structure's pylon by a cable structure. This makes the platform appear to "float" three meters above the water. From the beach at the DLRG tower, a three-meter-wide walkway leads directly to the flounder. This splits again shortly before the platform and runs past the pylon on both sides. The flounder is easily accessible by wheelchair, stroller, etc. Flounder Sea Platform with terns
