The view of Asbach from the spur in front of Altenstein Castle is truly beautiful. There's a new seating area here.

Not only ancient history has left its mark on Altenstein Castle, but also the division of Germany. The ensemble is quite interesting.

This was the first time I'd ever seen a Stasi tunnel like this. It was fascinating. They'd thought of practically everything. 😬
