Great view from Hühnerberg

Nice old path, but slippery when wet.

In 1583, Johann Zimmermann von Frohnhofen was the tenant of the mill in the "Drießbach," which belonged to the Dukes of Arenberg. In 1794, the tenant, Johannes Helten, paid nine malters of grain, a pig worth at least 150 pounds, and a chicken as annual rent. This site was the site of one of the 32 V1 launching ramps in the Eifel region, which were used during World War II (1944/45). The combat position was set up to the left and right of the existing forest path (known as the Römerstrasse). I think it's good that such signs remind us of the past.
