    Hiking

The General Grant Tree is the second largest tree in the world, only slightly smaller than the General Sherman Tree, which stands 29 miles away.

Known as the "Nation's Christmas Tree" this sequoia is not very old in comparison to other, smaller trees. Instead it lives in an ideal location with plenty of water and sunlight, which have allowed it to grow into its awe inspiring size rather quickly.

It's a less crowded time to visit, offering a unique perspective of the giant sequoias.
