    Tips

After its construction in 1907/08, the Brenig water tower served to supply drinking water until it took over the general supply via water pipes in 1957. The rather squat water tower has been a listed building since 1986 and, like the higher and more visible water tower in Rösberg, testifies to the technical development of the drinking water supply in the early 20th century.

Nice landmark, but you don't see it that often. Well-maintained construction.

The water tower on the outskirts of Brenig - which belongs to the town of Bornheim - is one of the seven stations that can be hiked along the "Bornheimer Quellenweg". The Heimat- und Eifelverein Bornheim e.V. created and signposted this path two years ago.
The vast majority of this path would also be suitable for cycling, but not entirely.
