An alpine hiking trail leads from the Lötschenpass to the Hockenhorn at 3292 m. The ascent is accompanied by a breathtaking view of the Gasterntal, the Kanderfirn and forty 4000m peaks in the Bernese and Valais Alps. Duration from the Lötschenpass: 2 hours. The ascent of the Hockenhorn can easily be combined as a 2-day tour over the Lötschenpass with an overnight stay in the Lötschenpass hut.
