The 42.5 m high Möhnesee Tower stands above the Möhnesee. The observation tower, which cost around 500,000 euros, was built in the summer and autumn of 2014 in a prominent location on one of the highest points near the Möhnesee. The Rennweg and the Sauerland Forest Route run directly past the tower on a shared route.
The viewing platform offers views of the reservoir, many districts of the Möhnesee community, parts of the Arnsberg Forest Nature Park and across to the Haarstrang mountain range.
