The Ala-Kul is located at more than 3,500 meters altitude - a breathtaking spot in the truest sense of the word. The mountain lake was first discovered in 1811. The color of the water ranges from bright turquoise to a dull purple. From October to May the lake is mostly frozen.

If there are a lot of tents, it can be difficult to find a place to camp that isn't rocky. At the beginning of the lake you camp on a saddle - > strong winds are possible at any time!!! Anchor the tent well!
