The Temple of Antas stands in the splendid Antas Valley, a natural amphitheater intertwined with over three thousand years of history. The Nuragic people practiced rituals and burials here since the Bronze Age, followed by the Carthaginians, who erected a sanctuary dedicated to the god Sid Addir Babay, and finally by the Romans, who in the 2nd century AD rebuilt the temple in honor of Sardus Pater Babai, the patron deity of the Sardinian people.

      Entry per adult €4.
You can also visit the Roman quarries, a nuragic village, part of the Roman road and an old cork oak. Pass the nuragic village for the Su Mannau Caves (admission fee extra).

You can make a nice little hike through the well-kept complex of Tempio di Antas. When you buy the ticket you will receive a note with the location and a short description of the highlights.
The path leads first to the centenary cork oak, which is very impressive. Then comes the main attraction, the temple itself. Not far from the temple there are three ancient Roman quarries where the limestone blocks used to build the temple were broken. The different working methods are explained on display boards and can be partially understood in the quarries. Finally, we go to the old Nuragher village, of which, however, not so much can be seen anymore.
