This Byzantine fortress was originally built to protect the port of Pafos. It was rebuilt by the Lusignans in the 13th century, destroyed by the Venetians in the 16th century and rebuilt by the Ottomans at the end of the 16th century. In 1935 it became a national monument. From your terrace you will enjoy a unique view of the harbor.

Paphos has only a relatively small harbor for yachts and a few smaller ships.

Small, beautiful harbor with lots of outdoor dining on the promenade. The image is dominated by a historic fortress tower. Originally a Byzantine fortress stood here, rebuilt in the 16th century. Today, only one fortress tower can be seen, which is accessible for a small entrance fee and is very impressive.
