Very nice bike path along the Werre. Partly graveled, partly paved, but always good to drive. Also suitable for families. Great views of nature and the river.

That looks really crazy this year!
Until maybe 1958 I lived in Werrestrasse in Ahmsen. When we children were bathing in the Werre at that time, we then reeled off leeches. Dead fish, which were victims of the starch plant in Bad Salzuflen, often "swam" past us. By bike we went along the Werre to the Ravensberger Gymnasium. Of course not as comfortable as today!Addendum: I once saved my brother from drowning and once I found a drowned vagabond under the highway bridge. Wonderful cycle path along the Werre from the Hoffmannswiesen in Salzuflen to the center of Herford - a must for cyclists 👍.
