For the Documenta 7 1982 issue Joseph Beuys his work of art "7000 oaks" in the whole city of Kassel. Subtitle "Stadtverwaldung statt Stadtverwaltung". Also here on the Ochsenallee. He placed a basalt stela next to each planted oak, ash or robinia. Unfortunately, Beuys no longer experienced the planting of the last tree. This was set five years later next to the first planted by his son - at the Fridericianum -.

The Ochsenallee can be easily reached from the Wilhelmshöhe hiking car park and can be easily integrated into shorter and longer laps in the Wilhelmshöhe mountain park.
A popular hiking (dog) section, especially on sunny days and on weekends.
