The castle (the castle is not correct ...) is not very nicely renovated, after all, it is still largely preserved. It is privately owned by the Counts of Neipperg, who have nothing against a visit.
The way up is miserably slippery through the rather large gravel stones and steep at the same time.
But it is worth the effort to go up there. If it is wet, pushing is more likely, because the path is pretty shabby.

There are 3 ways to get up to the castle. Coming from the south (Dürrenzimmern) it goes steeply uphill on a somewhat paved path right in front of the village. The second driveway is in the middle of the village (steep and unpaved). If you want it a little easier, drive through the town towards Schwaigern. Before the road to Nordheim turns right, an unpaved moderate ascent begins at an acute angle on the right (no problem for mountain bikes).

The Wikipedia says: "The castle Neipperg is a hill castle and the ancestral castle of the lords and counts of Neipperg. It dates from the 12th century and is located in Neipperg, today a district of Brackenheim, in the district of Heilbronn in Baden-Württemberg." I say: nice place, worth a visit.

The engraving of Schloßhole up to the castle is a nice challenge. Do not stop, otherwise you will not get any further and may push. The castle itself is a pretty, historic place. It's best to drive a bit further and look at the panorama from the opposite vineyard.

Castle worth seeing, but privately owned, last time I was there there was a stool, all open.
