Lille Norge, small Norway, is one of the most beautiful natural areas between Blokhus and Løkken and is located in a hilly terrain, in the dunes by the sea.
Lille Norge is a slightly steep glacial valley from the postglacial period created by the Littorina transgression. The slope is made of clay, but it is superimposed by sand, which was introduced by water and wind.
According to tradition, the name Little Norway comes from a Norwegian captain, who was homesick, and said he could see in the sunset a reflection of the Norwegian mountains in the steep slopes of Lille Norge.
The entire valley is under conservation.
The Guldagerhøj, which lies south of the protected area, is an excellent vantage point. (Www.visitjammerbugten.de)
You can also cross the area. Here, dogs must be on a leash, as cows or horses graze in the area.

In the "Lille Norge" nature reserve, there is a free-roaming herd of horses and a herd of cows. Feeding the animals is prohibited, but you can pet them if the animals indicate that they're okay with it.
