In 1732 Johann Carl von der Lancken is mentioned as the builder of a stone house in "Zuerkevitz". von der Lancken were already here in 1532, and it was not until the middle of the 20th century that it came into the possession of the Barons von Bothmer. Ferdinand Freiherr von Bothmer was the last owner of the property, which comprised 314 hectares in 1945.
