The Kissinger Hütte is a refuge belonging to the Rhön Club in the Rhön. It is located at an altitude of 844 meters on the southern slope of the Heidelstein, one of the highest mountains in the Rhön. The hut was built in 1928 and is named after the spa town of Bad Kissingen, which is about 20 kilometers away. The hut offers overnight accommodation for hikers and skiers, as well as catering with regional specialties. From the hut you have a beautiful view over the Rhön and, if the visibility is good, as far as the Thuringian Forest and the Spessart.

Unfortunately, the lifts were closed in 2016, but the three hut trails are still carefully groomed.
The Feuerberg is frequented by touring skis and snowshoe-hikers. At the top station of the Feuerberg, the Kissinger Hütte offers a welcome stop for hikers and mountain bikers.
