The Söderåsen is considered one of the highlights of Skåne. "Highlights" may be understood literally, because in the otherwise rather flat Skåne you rarely find such lookouts as just here. The Söderåsen is one of the typical faults that run diagonally through Skåne. Unlike the extremely popular Kullaberg further northwest, Söderåsen is even a national park, one of 29 currently in Sweden.
