Schutzteich and Wäldle (Tanna)

The protection pond is in principle a fire extinguishing pond on the edge of Tanna towards Leitenteiche. Benches invite you to linger, and currently many pond roses have grown. Looks beautiful.
Especially in winter it used to be busy here: As children, this was our ice-skating pond!
Meanwhile, it has become calmer ... The kids seem to prefer to sit at the computer :(
Like danaben is the "Wäldle" - a "city grove". The passageway, however, is mostly overgrown with grass, as well as only a few people walk here ... That's how the times change!
It used to be a pure spruce forest. In the 90s, the time was cut down completely. Meanwhile, a quite remarkable mixed forest has emerged. From the Hotteraweg you can reach the Bahnhofstraße through the woods - or vice versa.
