Bike Touring Highlight
The castle ruin (former hunting lodge) is located high above Wiesbaden and is protected by a glass roof construction against decay. In 1823, the hunting lodge was built for Duke Wilhelm von Nassau and sold to the city of Wiesbaden in 1913.
The British Air Force attacked the hunting lodge in February 1945 and destroyed it almost completely.
After that, the hunting lodge fell into disrepair. From 1987 began the clean-up and renovation work. Today, the former hunting lodge is used as a venue.
