The Pont Wilson has a hidden story.
In 1978, part of the bridge unexpectedly collapsed. Not due to a flood, but because the Loire had eroded the subsoil.
Afterward, the bridge was reinforced from within. Yes, really: sections are hollow and contain inspection chambers.
