Eichelhofstraße

With the Eichelhofstraße there is now a "new" official way to get to the Kahlenberg from the Danube side. The asphalt road starts straight away quite steeply, especially the long curve hangs in a mighty way. After that it will be more moderate. Compared to the Iron Hand, you can get to the same destination much more comfortably here.
And one thing is for sure, you are guaranteed to have a better panoramic view here! You can see the Bisamberg on one side and towards the Weinviertel and on the other side you have a great view of Vienna! Depending on the weather, you can even see the mountains in the south of Vienna!
There are no technical difficulties to cope with here, only some stamina is required. But watch out for car traffic! There are always cars on the road and it is very difficult to evade, especially at the beginning of the confusing curve.
