Sveti Stefan is a small Adriatic island near Budva in Montenegro and belongs to its municipal area. A short dam connects the small island, which covers only 1.46 hectares, with the mainland. On the mainland opposite the island, the village of the same name with apartment buildings, a few hotels and restaurants has been growing up the slope since the 1950s. The population of 411 (as of 2003) is divided into 256 Serbs, 109 Montenegrins, 6 Croats and 40 others.🚴
