Karkarook Lake spans 15 hectares across Karkarook Park. This man-made body of water is a popular spot for fishing, walking, running, and non-motorised water sports. A 6-kilometre network of flat, shared-use track surrounds the water, including a 1.6-kilometre main loop around Karkarook Lake. If you would rather get onto the lake, there's a boat ramp for canoes, kayaks, and small sailing boats. Bird watchers come to the northern end of the lake as it's a protected wetland and bird sanctuary.
