Beverweerd is a castle from the 13th century, located on an island along the Kromme Rijn near Werkhoven in Utrecht. The castle, surrounded by beautiful gardens through which the Kromme Rijn flows, was empty for a long time and was not accessible to visitors. The painter and art forger Geert Jan Jansen has lived and worked there since 2006. You can walk in the gardens surrounding the castle and enjoy the view of both the castle and the Kromme Rijn.
