If you pass Dattenfeld by bike, you should definitely make a short detour to Dattenfeld Castle.
In the castle, which is now privately owned and built in the early 17th century and which also functions as a branch office of the Windeck municipal administration, civil weddings can take place. The castle can also be booked for weddings and there are many public events in the castle park.
The property is located on a plot of over 6,000 m² and has a living area of almost 600 m².

Dattenfeld Castle was built by Jacob Robens, who was a court clerk in Windeck. Extensive records from the Thirty Years' War come from Johann Robens. The rectangular core with the adjoining tower of the castle complex was built between 1619 and 1629 and was later expanded around 1840 through several additions and modifications. The house's weather vane shows the year 1629.
