De Otter Mill

A mill has been in Oterleek since probably 1633. The predecessor of the current mill burned down in 1899. After that the miller's house and the remains of the mill were sold and the current mill was built.

The milling company stopped in 1963, and the mill was sold to the municipality. He transferred it to Stichting De Schermer Molens in 1974.

The mill is now managed by De Raphael Foundation, which runs the mill and a bakery shop in the adjacent barn with the help of the mentally handicapped. The mill runs and grinds regularly.

You can drink a cup of tea or coffee with a delicious cake or other goodies from the bakery.
