The section shown is very nice and low traffic. I often do not drive to / from Kästel but towards Emelsdorf, Willmersbach, Göttelhof to Rappoldshofen. From there you can easily reach the hilly stretches of the Steigerwald.

If you drive over Kästel and after a short ramp the connection road between Birnbaum and Rezelsdorf reaches, you can drive to Linden to a nice quiet beer garden. Before taking the exit for Birnbaum, take a small paved road to Linden. This avoids the moderately busy road and comes out in the center of Linden.
