A house steeped in history that was built by Johann Heinrich von Bredow in the years 1723-1725. Theodor Fontane describes Hoppenrade Castle in great detail in his "Walks through the Mark Brandenburg". Today it is privately owned.

A beautiful and certainly worth seeing building. However, the hiking trail from Löwenberg leads along the road on asphalt. It wouldn't be worth it to me. A nice stop with a bike.

In addition to the castle park, you can also visit the castle chapel (right side wing), actually every Sunday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. I was standing in front of a locked door during opening hours, so it would be better to call in advance (Tel. 033088-50180).
