Best Hikes to Crestasee
Tips
  • Beautifully situated lake in the middle of nature. Very clear water that invites you to swim, fantastically surrounded by mountains and forest. There is a kiosk and a restaurant on the lido side. Toilets are also available.

  • The Crestasee with its crystal clear water is nestled between dark fir trees - a picture straight out of a fairy tale book. It is a spring lake, the water of which runs underground, the outflow into the Flem runs above ground. Due to the constant exchange, the entire water volume is renewed within three days and is always drinking water.

Lake Cresta can only be reached on foot, from the Trin Mulin car park (in the middle of the village) a hiking trail suitable for prams leads to the natural pool. There is a restaurant by the lake.

    Opening hours natural pool:
In the summer season - depending on the weather around mid-May to
    around mid-September.

    Admission natural pool:
Adults CHF 7, children (6 to 16 years) CHF 3.

  • Perfect forest lake, a bit quieter than Lake Cauma, but it has to be paid for the stay at the lake entrance ...

  • The "See am Waldgrat" is located on the eastern border between Flims and Trin. The Crestasee is a real insider tip: crystal clear water, embedded in a dark green wreath of trees. It is 375 meters long and 180 meters wide and is part of the inventory of protected natural monuments of regional importance in the canton of Graubünden. Cooling off in Lake Cresta is a wonderful way to end your bike or hiking tour.

  • Hiking and Fotohighligt, which already went around the world.

  • In my tour I did a loop that also included the viewpoint Il Spir and the Caumasee. Crestasee is certainly the most suggestive one, as well as accessible at 360 °, with many points where you can stop for a bath or relax for a pic sic.
A dirt path allows you to go all around it and connects it to the surrounding highlights.
    Perfect for families and children.

  • As of this year (2020), the forest parking spaces are also subject to a fee.

  • Nice little gem close to the road.

Who does not shy away from the approach via the narrow road should drive through to parking lot no.5. From there it is only a short hop to the lake

  • Very nice hike around the lake (with the right footwear, as the path is often very muddy)

  • A very simple path runs all around the lake and here you can see how clean and transparent its waters are.
On the seabed you can see aquatic plants old broken tree trunks.

  • Incredible blue green lake. The tour of this lake is really nice and peaceful.

  • Fantastic lake to see. A bit like Blausee but green.

  • Beautiful mountain lake and a little quieter than on Lake Cauma further up. A visit is worthwhile at any time of the year, but those looking for peace and quiet are better off in winter.

  • The Crestasee is really beautiful, but totally overcrowded in the summer months. I therefore recommend a visit in early spring (e.g. at the end of March) or later in autumn. Especially "cool" people even dare to go into the water because the temperatures are relatively "high" for a mountain lake. teddy-b.ch/tipp-der-woche/crestasee-gr-bauern-opfer

  • There is also a forest parking lot on the south side of the lake, which is much closer.
At the lake SUPs and a rowing boat can be rented cheaply.
