The road North climbs very steep switchbacks, providing breathtaking vistas down to Porto Kagio and the whole mountainous Cape Tenaro. In winter most restaurants are closed and there are no supermarkets, so the pumping station overflow is a welcome water source π§ at 200 m up the hill.

Awesome vista point from the serpentines above the tiny hamlet on Achilio, its view of Porto Kagio on the opposite side of the bay, and the small castillo at road's end.
