The Danube Gate from the 13th century bears the first city coat of arms with the city gate and Bavarian alarm clocks on its north side and, like the Altmühl Gate, grants admission to the old town. From the 15th century, the Donautor was the seat of the paving customs. Every wagon had to pay customs for the city. The four side towers of the gate are no longer preserved, but the weir bay in tower width has been preserved. The two stone lions were installed in 1913, they still come from the former Wittelsbach castle.
