A stripped-off quarry wall is a special eye-catcher in the Gleisbergbruch, which can be found behind the buildings. Even today, the years carved by the stonemasons can be clearly recognized by it. It can be clearly seen how many meters of porphyry have been laboriously mined and in what time. Next to the last year, 1947, is the name O. Dathe. Otto Dathe was a foreman in the Gleisbergbruch. With its very well-preserved quarry wall, the Gleisbergbruch is unique in its kind.
