Tips

  • Alex Foxfield

The Jubilee Bridge was built in 1897 to commemorate the reign of Queen Victoria. It makes for an exciting crossing of the River Annan and forms a part of the Annandale Way long-distance trail. Views from the bridge are picturesque, especially in autumn when the surrounding woodland basks in red and gold.

Sadly the bridge was lost in the floods on 28th Oct 2021, an iconic bridge and a favourite with locals since 1897.
