The route of the former Ischlerbahn, which ran from Salzburg via Eugendorf, Mondsee and Wolfgangsee to Bad Ischl, has now been largely converted into a cycle path. Attentive railway nostalgics can still find signs of the railway of that time along the route. The section between Salzburg and Eugendorf is well paved throughout and is very popular with commuters and recreational athletes alike. It is particularly busy in the mornings and evenings - it is better to shift down a gear and watch out for oncoming traffic. Be careful: there are several confusing intersections and a (wet) wooden bridge along the route. By the way: a song was even dedicated to the railway connection of that time... .

Former railway line from Salzburg to Bad Ischl. Moderate gradient to Wallersee. Ideal for getting to Wallersee, Irrsee, Mondsee. Completely in nature, car-free, well paved. Only occasionally do country roads cross, where caution is advised. Often used by longboarders for extensive downhill tours
