The Homert Tower is a 22 meter high observation tower at 538.3 meters above sea level. NHN high mountain Homert. It is located in the south of the Lüdenscheid urban area in the Ebbegebirge Nature Park.
The Lüdenscheid city architect Falkenroth drew up the plans for the building, which was built in 1894. The client was the Lüdenscheid department of the Sauerland Mountain Association (SGV), which was only founded in 1891. In addition to Homert, Berg Höh, which is closer to the city, was initially discussed as a location, but a vote was taken to choose the location that was ultimately developed.
