The municipality of Cortaccia on the Wine Route extends from the Adige Valley (212 m above sea level) to the 1,802 m high Tresner Horn in the Mendelgebirge. With the places Kurtatsch, Entiklar, Penon, Hofstatt, Graun and Oberfennberg, the community has about 2,200 inhabitants. Of the 3,056 hectares, about 600 hectares are cultivated with fruit and 330 hectares with viticulture, another 70 hectares are fields and meadows. This clearly reflects the importance of fruit and wine growing, as can be seen everywhere. The area is rich in culinary specialties and excellent wine.
