The Igelsbachsee and the somewhat larger Kleine Brombachsee are the two barrages of the Großer Brombachsee in the Bavarian Middle Franconia in the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district. The reservoir is named after the Igelsbach flowing to it in the northwest. Another tributary is the Gänsbach. It is dammed up by a dam in the southeast. The level of the lake fluctuates only slightly; the target is 411 m above sea level NN and the deepest areas of the lake are between 399 m above sea level. NN and 400 m above sea level NN. The water from the Igelbachsee flows into the Großer Brombachsee, where the target is 410.5 m above sea level. NN and the lowering target to 403.5 m above sea level. NN with level fluctuations of up to 7 meters.

There is less going on at Igelsbachsee than at Brombachsee, which you notice when you cycle around it.
