The large Glinder Foundling is a remnant of the ice age and was discovered in the former gravel sand pit west of the Spitzwald. In renaming the recreational area Mühlenteich 1984 in "Friederici Park" honored the deceased mayor with the boulder at his present place. The boulder itself at a height of one meter has a circumference of 8.72 meters and consists of granite. It is a piece of rock that was transported during the ice age from a glacier probably from the Swedish area to today's Glinde. This occurred during the Saale glaciation around 250,000 to 140,000 years ago, when large parts of the northern hemisphere were covered by massive glaciers.stadtmarketing-glinde.de/walderlebnispfad
