    The Hope Slide was the largest recorded landslide in Canada, apart from the similarly sized Mount Meager landslide of 2010. It occurred in the morning hours of January 9, 1965 in the Nicolum Valley in the Cascade Mountains near Hope, British Columbia, and killed four people.
