The route from the Spertental to the Brechhornhaus always offers great views of the Großer Rettenstein and the Spertental. The lower part is moderately steep on shady forest roads. On a longer passage with only a slight incline in the upper third, you can regain your strength for the last, somewhat steeper ascent.
Make sure to plan a short detour to the Kreuzjöchlsee before you set off.
Then descent via the Fleidingalm to Westendorf.
