    The iris (Siberian iris) flowers here from mid-May to early June. However, it is an originally native wild plant - the name derives from the distribution of the species, which extends to Western Siberia. Every now and then one sees sometimes a yellow water-iris.Incidentally, it is a nature reserve - please stay on the trails, even for taking pictures!

    The Eriskircher Ried is certainly a very nice, quiet place, which is actually much too nice to just "durchzuradeln" so ... but as all touring cyclists know ... the kilometers make the tour :-)
