From the barbecue and rest area at the edge of the forest, the view extends far into the southern Wetterau – towards Friedberg, Bad Nauheim, and in clear weather, all the way to the Großer Feldberg in the Taunus. The spot is ideal for a short break. Or perhaps a dance instead? Since 1807, the Wäldchestag, a colorful folk festival under a green canopy of leaves, has been held annually in the neighboring Ossenheimer Wäldchen.
