The access to the "Vogelschutzwäldchen" (also called Rudower Wäldchen), in the middle of high-rise buildings, on the Wildmeisterdamm can be easily overlooked as a stranger (the IDEAL high-rise, Berlin's highest residential high-rise, is in the immediate vicinity), and is therefore for residents of southern Gropiusstadt reachable in a few steps. The area, which was commissioned by Wilhelm II in 1872, extends to the Großziethen fields, where the "Wall Cycle Path" also runs. In no time you are in the green and only perceive the big city as a silhouette.
