NABU Nature-Based Forest Hike near Müden (Örtze)
Small forest paths, hidden ponds, the Wietze River, and hilly terrain. After a two-year forced break, it's finally time to get back out into nature.

NABU Hermannsburg/Faßberg invites all nature lovers to a short family hike through a little-known area.

There's a lot to discover along a 4 km route. Retired biology teacher Joachim Webel will provide expert explanations of the local flora and fauna. NABU will also provide information about current projects and possible activities for the planned children's and youth group (NAJU). Volunteers are still needed for this group.

The meeting point is on June 18th at the parking lot by the cemetery in Müden (Örtze) at the end of Wietzendorfer Weg. The hike starts at 10:00 a.m. and we will be back around 12:00 p.m.

The House of Nature in Oldendorf near Hermannsburg, formerly the Erich Eickenrodt House, was established in 1983 and is a small NABU (Nature and Biodiversity Conservation Union) center located in the heart of the Südheide Nature Park. The permanent exhibition showcases typical habitats of the region, complemented by specimens, photos, and informational materials. An insect hotel and a forest nature trail in front of the house invite visitors to discover nature firsthand. It's a particularly suitable destination or stopover for a bike ride through the surrounding area.
