Until the storm Wiebke in 1990, the chapel was surrounded by the spruce trees so densely that hardly a ray of light penetrated the dense forest. Drivers had to switch on the lights because when entering the forest, their eyes could not adjust to the changes in the light conditions so quickly.
For me it is still an oasis where you can really relax.
