Free entry and guided tour Sundays were new to me! I mean it wasn't like that before!

A comfortable residenceThe mansion has both front and rear sumptuous facades and long porticoes. On the front facade, corner pavilions endow the forecourt with side wings. This building is a villa with porticoes and corner pavilions that are frequently found in Northern Gaul and on the Rhine, generally in more modest forms.The main façade faces the courtyard and the neighboring farm buildings. Approaching, the view from the courtyard is majestic: the large basin reflects the many columns of the porticoes. The building with an area of 118 x 62 m - part of which is on two floors - resembles a palace. On the ground floor, it initially comprises around forty rooms, then more than seventy.Following the model of Mediterranean Roman villas, the residence is fitted with prestigious architectural elements: porticoes, interior courtyards and pools. It is equipped with thermal baths, underfloor heating, marble veneers and mosaic floors. This luxurious residence thus offers the greatest comfort.
